The good stuff

It’s light. Like, really light. Installed in under a minute and didn’t try to hijack my browser or force me to sign up. I dropped in a .mov file from my iPhone, selected MP4 as output, and it converted in under 10 seconds. No fuss, no settings menu with 50 options I’ll never use. Also, it supports a decent range of formats out of the box-MP4, AVI, MKV, WAV, MP3, AAC. Nothing too obscure, but enough for everyday stuff. The interface is simple enough that even my mom could figure it out after one glance.

The not-so-good

But it’s not perfect. The UI looks like it was slapped together in 2012. No drag-and-drop support-had to manually browse for each file. And there’s no batch conversion, which is a real bummer if you’re trying to tidy up a folder full of recordings. Also, no progress bar during conversion. Just a spinning icon and a wait. Kinda nerve-wracking when you’re converting five files at once. And honestly, it’s hard to tell who made it-no clear developer info, no changelog, nothing. Feels like something dumped on a random GitHub repo. If you need advanced features like trimming, subtitles, or bitrate control, skip this. There are better free tools out there, like HandBrake or FFmpeg, which are more reliable and open-source.

Bottom line

If you need to convert one or two files quickly and don’t care about polish, All Media Converter - Download for Windows is fine. It’s free, works straight away, and gets the job done. But if you’re doing any kind of regular media work, or want a little more control, go with something more established. For a one-off fix? Sure, grab it. Otherwise, look elsewhere.
